Prashant K Gupta is a skilled and dynamic Senior Engineer Software at Rakuten with expertise in data science and navigating complex challenges. He is a recent graduate from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, and has a passion for building effective workforces. With over 5 years of relevant experience, he has honed his skills in solving real problems with data and is proficient in various programming languages such as GoLang, Java, Python, MYSQL, InfluxDB, and more. Currently, at Rakuten, Prashant is working on a monitoring project and is responsible for end-to-end development, feature addition, and productionising products with high availability, reliability, and scalability. He is a quick learner and has a keen interest in keeping up with the latest technologies and trends in the industry. Apart from his work at Rakuten, Prashant is also a Core Team Member at Technothlon IIT Guwahati, where he is solely responsible for conducting Technothlon in Bihar Sharif for the first time. He had a major role in conducting the championship event, winning a prize for which in the 2016 edition was 'A free tour to NASA.' He was responsible for overall coordination in Bihar State where the exam was conducted at more than 25 centers. He also designed the final round of the competition and contributed to preparing the question paper. He managed on-campus competitions and other activities for top 50 teams and conducted LED (Learn.Experience.Discover) in different school premises. Prashant has also worked as a Core Team Member at Alcheringa IIT Guwahati, where he set up a timeline for marketing of the festival, built a strategy for different sectors of companies, mentored junior teams, took new initiatives, and planned various events for the festival. He was responsible for contacting different corporate houses and proposing them to sponsor in Alcheringa. Prashant's education history includes a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) degree from the Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati, where he studied from 2014 to 2018.
